Our Story

2022

Toshi is founded by a group of 17 investors joining forces. The idea is simple: together we are stronger, more efficient and will have more fun.

2022-2024

Over time, 8 investments are completed. Of these, 6 remain active while 2 have been successfully exited. In 2024, the idea emerges to scale the initiative into a fully developed investment organization.

2025

The new concept, brand, and offering is officially launched. With the original investors and some new faces, we are ready to scale the business to new heights.

Who we are

Toshi is Japanese for “investment.” While we have no direct connection to Japan, the name effectively conveys our mission.

We are a group of investors, entrepreneurs and professionals who are passionate about doing business. We work together to find the most attractive investing opportunities, pooling our collective experience in order to develop our positions to their fullest potential.

Products

Short for Investment Vehicles, Toshi IVs are our platforms for opportunistic exploration. Each IV makes 10-15 investments, focusing on high-quality opportunities that we can explore and grow with over time.

Our Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) are single-position holding companies. Primarily, SPVs are used to house follow-up investments from IV positions, but they also allow for select stand-alone opportunities. Send us your pitch!

Our financial partners gain access to our collective deal flow, analysis materials, event invitations, and more. For 100 externals, we offer the opportunity to gain short-term access without requiring a financial commitment.
